The ‘dry’ season (or winter) spans from May to October with average temperatures ranging from 18-28˚C. During this period, you can expect beautiful sunny days and balmy nights. The tropical summer, or the ‘wet’ season extends from November to April with temperatures ranging from 23-31˚C. December and January typically have the most rain and stormy weather.
Clothing
Comfortable, light, loose casual clothing in cotton or natural fabric is recommended all year around. If you attend a work-experience course you will require clothing that conforms to industry standards (check with the CLC for details ).
Time difference
The time difference between Cairns and World Standard Time is 10 hours, and only 1-hour ahead of Japan.
