Accommodation

Where you live when you study with us is a very important decision. You can choose to stay with one of our specially chosen Australian homestay families or we can arrange accommodation in guesthouses, hostels, hotels and apartments. For students under 18 years of age, a carer placement service is also available.

• Homestay

Our most popular accommodation option is to live with a local Australian family, who will provide you with a room, meals, a warm welcome and a chance to improve your English at home as well as at school. Some ELS students report that living with an English-speaking host family has helped them learn English – as well as Australian customs and culture – faster and more naturally.

Homestay Features:

Things you need to know before you book

• This property is only suitable for students over 18 years of age.
• Free Linen Pack includes bed sheets and a pillowcase (a charge applies for bookings less than 28 days). Guests will need to bring their own towels.
• 4 weeks’ notice required if a student wishes to check out prior to their booked departure date.
• Key deposit: students are required to provide a credit card imprint to the value of 4 full weeks rent in lieu of bond.

• Falcon Lodge

Secure and affordable accommodation just 3km from the city. Falcon Lodge offers a clean and friendly environment just a short walk to North Sydney’s restaurants, cafes, shops, bars, and St Leonards Park.

Things you need to know before you book

• Check-in time is after 2 pm, check out before 11 am.
• The property is only suitable for students over 18 years of age.
• A bond equal to 1-week rate per room is required at the time of check-in. This is refunded on departure after room inspections. The bond may not be used to cover the last week of accommodation cost.

We recommend you chose homestay or student residence for your first 4 weeks in Sydney as this helps you to learn about the city and settle in more easily. If you wish to move into a shared apartment with other students after this these websites can help you find a vacancy.

Student Accommodation

These properties are suitable for students who want long-term student accommodation.  The minimum booking time is usually one semester.  

1. Unilodge – Offers a variety of apartment styles and sizes approx. 15-20 minutes walk from the college
2. Urbanest – Shared accommodation for students near educational institutions across Eastern Australia
3. Iglu – Contemporary shared apartments or private studios. All apartments feature private ensuite bathrooms

Serviced Apartments

Serviced apartments are a great choice for families travelling with children or couples on short courses who prefer not to worry about cleaning.

Hostels

Booking a hostel can be a good idea if you will be arriving in Sydney before your homestay or student residence accommodation is available.

2. Sydney Harbour YHA – The nearest hostel to the college with amazing views of Sydney Harbour
