Do I need a visa to come to Australia?
Yes, you need a valid visa to travel to Australia. Depending on your country of origin you may be able to apply for your visa online.

Can I study at INUS Australia with a tourist visa?
If you are a tourist visa holder you can study at Discover English for up to 3 months.

Can you help me with my visa?
INUS Australia is a language school and we can not give any visa advice. We can, however, refer you to one of our education or migration agents that will be able to assist you with the visa process.

When can I start?
General English and IELTS preparation courses at INUS Australia start every Monday so you can start anytime you like! For IELTS, EAP, FCE or Barista start dates please see our courses.

How long can I study English?
It’s up to you! You can study from one week to one hundred weeks, your choice. We will assess your proficiency level and recommend a course suitable for you.

How much money should I take with me to travel to Australia?
Melbourne is a reasonably priced major city with a range of living options. As a guide, you will need a minimum of $18,600* (excluding tuition) per year to cover accommodation, daily living costs, health services, and other expenses. The amount of money you bring is a personal choice, but you must ensure you have enough money to cover certain typical expenses, for example:

  • Share accommodation: $140 – $200 p/w (bond usually: 4 weeks rent (payable as a deposit)
  • Monthly transport ticket (Zone 1+2): $148
  • Monthly mobile phone plan: $40
  • Coffee: $3.50
  • Lunch: $6 – $10
  • Local telephone call: 50c
  • Mobile Broadband: $29 p/m
