• GENERAL ENGLISH COURSE

• CAMBRIDGE EXAM CENTRE

Upgrade your language skills and gain a globally recognised qualification for study, employment or immigration purposes through our Cambridge Exam Centre and take your next step.

Cairns Language Centre is an authorised exam centre for Cambridge University. Our Cambridge Exam Preparation Course allows you to:

-Improve your English skills

-Practice the Cambridge Examination formats

-Gain confidence prior to sitting the exam

Intensive (10-12 week) courses throughout the year co-ordinate with the Cambridge English Examination schedule. Prepare in a small class with highly focused lessons and experienced teachers.

Our Cambridge Exam Preparation Courses assist you to follow academic courses at university level, communicate effectively in any professional context, and participate with confidence in the workplace. Our courses focus on tertiary education entry and / or Australian resident visas.

• DIVING ENGLISH

You can also gain valuable practice for both the Cambridge Business English Certificate (BEC) and Business Language Testing Service (BULATS)*.

*These exams are not included as part of the course.

• IELTS PREPARATION COURSE

Gain the support and quality instruction you need to succeed in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with our highly popular preparation course.

• HIGH SCHOOL PREPARATION

We support children to successfully transition into Australian government or private high school through our High School Preparation (HSP) course. Focused on language development and essential study skills, students receive subject-specific content that can help them thrive in their new learning environment.

Our HSP course is designed to help students to:

-Become proficient in English to the appropriate level for a high school student in Australia

• PRIVATE ENGLISH LESSONS

For example, you might target pronunciation, or focus on specific work-related topics such as preparing for a meeting. Whatever your individual goal, you can partner with an experienced teacher every step of the way to advance your journey into English.

• STUDY TOURS AND GROUP PROGRAMS

A Study Tour combines English Language Studies with a short-term period of group travel. Cairns Language Centre Study Tours are designed to introduce students to Australia and its culture by bringing to life what is learned in the classroom.

Courses are led by our experienced teachers. CLC supports the tours’ logistics including:

-English language study

-Visits to Queensland Government and private schools

-Social activities

-Student excursions and tours

-Accommodation with daily transfers to and from school

-Transfers and airport pickup

Students often choose to stay with local families. Our homestay families have been carefully selected to ensure quality accommodation and supportive environments. We offer single, twin or triple guest homestays. Students can request to share a bedroom with another member of the Study Tour Group to help them feel more comfortable.

Homestay includes all meals – breakfast, lunch and dinner – plus transportation by car, to and from school.
