Heather’s story - Adelaide-based food entrepreneur and TAFE SA graduate, Heather Day credits her industry success to the higher education level of learning in the Bachelor degree. The 2016 Masterchef top-10 finalist and owner of Hey Day Butter said the bachelor qualification gave her credibility in the industry and confidence in the workplace.
Heather, who completed the Bachelor of Business (Hospitality Management) at TAFE SA, says her career successes are due to knowing that she had the underpinning knowledge needed to make an impact and be a leader. She believes TAFE SA doesn’t just get you job ready, it gets you life ready.
Heather has now returned to TAFE SA to complete her Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (SIT40516) so she can become a qualified chef.
